For clients with an alcohol- or drug-dependency diagnosis, TOPP focuses on reducing denial of the alcohol or other drug problem, and increasing positive coping skills to assist post-discharge abstinence and avoidance.

TOPP clients have an external support system and an individual assessment revealing sufficient coping skills to abstain in a less structured environment.

Details: Three-hour, one- or two-times-per-week group treatment. Self-help group attendance and abstinence are required and individual sessions are included.
