Substance Abuse / Domestic Violence Treatment Group
Created to treat individuals with addiction and domestic violence issues, SADV helps clients deal with their emotions in a productive manner and abstain from mood-altering substances.

CRC is making strides to help this traditionally tough group to treat — men with substance abuse and domestic violence problems. The new Men's SADV Treatment Group is an intense program intended to help the client verbalize an understanding about his own problematic behavior and to confront attitudes and excuses that typically address any of the central causes of abusiveness, including entitlement, coercive control, disrespect, superiority, selfishness or victim-blaming. Treatment participants develop a plan to support abstinence from mood-altering substances.

Details: 12 three-hour group sessions are held on Monday evening beginning at 6 p.m. Participants also must attend at least four individual sessions.
